Tune Up Dance Session 14th March

The workshop for this Session is Salsa Partner Work & Shines

In the New Format... each Tune Up Dance Session includes a one hour Workshop in two levels, followed by over two hours of social practice time.

Every fortnight a new dance style is be focused on during the workshop. While workshops will vary from session to session each includes a social practice time in Salsa, Zouk and Gafieira Samba with a dash of Merengue, Cha Cha Cha & Bachata

Beginners in Studio One - Salsa Partner Work

Intermediate + in Studio Two - Shines

Workshops are from 7:30pm to 8:30pm

Only $10 for SLG students and $15 for guests

Social Dancing from 8:30pm to 10.30pm

Entry after 8:30pm is only $5 for SLG Students and $10 for guests

Mambo Boot Camp

Roberto's Boot Camp is dedicated to those who want to learn more about Salsa "on 2' (Mambo) not just in Partner Work but also in other artistic aspects of the dance - from dance technique to music knowledge.

Dancing Mambo is about expressing yourself, interpreting the music with your body's movement. This Boot Camp will develop your dance technique such as balance, posture, footwork, turning technique and cultivate your music knowledge, an essential part of any good Salsero.

• Mambo/On2 Fundamentals:Counts, basic step, leading prep, body positioning, basic turn, cross body etc
• Shines/Footwork: Series of essential foot work for Ladies & Men to help with these 'Montuno' section in a song
• Styling: How to find & extract that special effect in oneself, to make each us unique as a dancer
• Musicality: How to use your body as the instrument as it should be when dancing mambo/salsa
• Turn Patterns: Make it yours & execute them to the best of your ability, "its not what you know, but how you do it..."

Bachata Boot Camp

Join Carlos & Elli from Latin Steps in 3 hours of intensive Bachata instruction that will take you from beginner to wow!

Starting with the interpretation and styling for the basic step, elements covered will include Body Movement & Musicality and by the end of the session you will dancing a mixture of cool combos.
