Argentinean Tango Foundation

Join Chantal and Ian to learn Argentine Tango A dance of connection, depth passion and sensuality.

No prerequisite is required to begin Tango classes.

Tango can look complicated but SLG provide a teaching structure to simplify the learning process.

Tango is a social dance originating in the West Indies and which found its way to Argentina where it was stylized by the Gauchos to its present form. Early tango was known as Tango Criollo, or simply Tango. The Argentine tango is often regarded as the "authentic" tango since it is closest to that originally danced in Argentina and Uruguay. Today Tango is a stylish improvisational dance that appeals to all ages.

Salsa Workshops Byron Bay

Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th August

Popular international instructor Graeme Haney introduced the first inline & shines workshop in Sydney several years ago. With 12 Years international teaching experience he has held numerous workshops in Sydney over the years. Where he has taught the majority of key figures in the Sydney salsa scene his club based style. Most recently he taught at of the Sydney Salsa Congress and Coffs Harbour Caliente Fiesta 2007. I have attended one of Graeme’s workshops myself and can recommend his classes as being great fun and full of fantastic moves. I know on past occasions many dancers from Brisbane have ventured down to Byron for a great dance week end. The Byron crew are always keen to meet both new and old friends.
